Nice to see a few fine ladies rockin’ the Stars and Stripes! Happy 4th, Bogey!
Like my old Uncle used to say, “hope everyone remembered on the 3rd to buy a 5th for the 4th”

Congratulations on the 248th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, from friends in the UK. Today is important to us here too, as we are about to elect a new government, who will flush the UK economy down the toilet. The outcome is as certain as day follows night. It is often thought that the UK has a two party system, but that isn’t so. The main governing party are the Conservatives (Tories) but after a long period in office they usually start believing their own press releases, combined with staggering levels of hubris, and they get kicked out, for the Labour Party to take over. Usually after one term, with inflation raging, unemployment at record highs, and the country heading for bankruptcy, Labour get voted out. The one exception to this pattern was the Tony Blair New Labour government, which was a Tory style administration, cloaked as Labour. As soon as Tony Blair stood down, the old Labour emerged to be booted out at the next election. So as we awake tomorrow morning to a Labour government…… Will the last businessman leaving the UK, please turn the light off.

Our American cousins are so much luckier to have such greater stability in government!

Happy 4th of July.

As you suggest, the whole of Europe is moving to the right. But as UK votes show, one in eight people voted for new right wing party, so there is an underlying trend to the right here also.
Actually, post Brexit, economic growth is higher in the UK than other major EU counties. That is until the Labour government takes over, and causes the economy to stall, as they always do.
Tell me, would spanking any of those lovely ladies wearing stars and stripes be considered defacing the flag?
Goverments come and go, spanking is forever.

I have been misinformed about Brexit. I had read that it was harming the UK economy.

In today’s WS Journal.

Wearing clothes made of the flag is considered defacement/ So yeah, they should be spanked.
